Youth Development Baseball Camp

PISE and the Victoria HarbourCats are excited to partner on an inaugural Youth Development Baseball Camp to be held at PISE for the kick-off of 2019! For ages 8 to 16, this camp provides youth the opportunity to tune up their skills with the pros focusing on hitting, pitching, catching, fielding and base running. Athlete performance testing will be conducted including home to first base times, exit velocity for hitters and 40/60 yard times (weather permitting).

Coaches & Experts who will be a part of the camp:

  • Brian McRae: MLB Veteran & Current HarbourCats Manager
  • Alex DeGoti: Former HarbourCat & Current Houston Astros in-fielder
  • Curtis Pelletier: HarbourCats Director of Player Development & Assistant Coach
  • Kyle Orr: 4th round draft pick in 2006 for the LA Dodgers

Time will be 10am-3pm Jan. 5 and 12-4pm Jan. 6.

Whether you are a weekend warrior new to the rowing scene, or a high level athlete looking to push through a plateau, this program will provide you the boost you need to improve your on-water performance. Through a series of strength training and conditioning protocols designed specifically for rowers, PISE’s Strength and Conditioning Coach will teach you what you should be doing in the Fitness Centre to make the most of your time in the shell. This program will also include movements designed to strengthen your core and improve your mobility and stability to ensure that you can row for life.
