These programs were designed specifically for individuals who required adapted equipment or training – although wheelchair basketball is open to any individuals who would like to participate!

The Victoria Wheelchair Sports Club and PISE are proud to offer a Strength & Conditioning program designed specifically for people with mobility limitations. This program will take place in PISE’s main Fitness Centre, focusing on mobility, functionality and stability, while taking into account your sport and/or fitness needs.

NOTE: In alignment with current PHO guidelines, participants work out as individuals with programming and assistance from our S&C coach.

Wheelchair Basketball

Did you know that over a third of wheelchair basketball athletes can walk? Come and join this fast-paced, competitive sport that offers an incredible upper body workout. Participants will be provided with basic instruction including chair skills, shooting techniques and on-court strategy. Sport chairs will be provided. All ages and abilities welcome. Check back in August 2020 for Fall scheduling!
