PISE Programs

Join PISE Physical Literacy Leaders for a fun-filled hour of movement exploration! Play, explore, and learn new games while developing physical literacy. Please register for this FREE program thanks to funding from the Canadian Paralympic Committee. This program is for children in manual chairs, walkers, strollers, and power mobility chairs!

This program is open to children with any form of developmental disability (cognitive or physical) or illness. The program is designed to improve confidence and competence in movement skills and provide a safe place to play with peers. PISE leaders adapt activities to make sure that all children find success and have their individual needs met. This program develops fundamental movement skills like running, wheeling, throwing, catching and balance. Additionally, it builds on skills developed in early childhood to more complex movement patterns and sport skills. Siblings are welcome to enroll in the program too!

Registration opens online and in-person December 8th at 7:30am! Please note that we are not accepting waitlists this year, so be sure to register early to secure your spot! Explore, learn and play! As part of PISE’s Ages 5-7 camp your child will develop movement skills such as running, jumping, catching, wheeling, and dancing. Through a variety of games and activities, we aim to build confidence and motivation in your child to be active every day. Spring Break Camps take place primarily outdoors, rain or shine. Inclusion Support Service Notice: Unfortunately, we are unable to offer Inclusion Support during Spring Break due to current funding constraints. At this time, our Inclusion Support services are only available during our summer camp programs. Participants are still welcome to join our Spring Break programs with their own external support workers. If your participant will be attending with external support, please reach out to us at inclusion@pise.ca for guidance on next steps.

Our camps provide an inclusive environment, aimed at building confidence, and developing team work and cooperation skills through fun games and sport activities. This program provides an opportunity for children between the ages of 1-4 to explore different types of play-based movement and utilize specialized equipment. It will also allow them to build socioemotional skills through interacting with others! PISE staff will be present to play, assist with equipment and supervise the Kindergym. Participants will have access to our gymnastics equipment and a rotating variety of unique equipment such as our balance bikes and more!
