Functional Strength for Runners
In partnership with PISE and Track Club, this 12-week weekly workout is designed to support runners through consistent, functional strength training. Led by Mariah Kelly, sessions will be held in the Power Play Dome. Each 45-minute workout focuses on runner-specific strength using dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, and bodyweight exercises to build durability, efficiency, and injury resilience.
This program is a great compliment to regular run training and is suitable for runners of all levels looking to add structured strength work into their weekly routine.

Strength training at any age is important to general well-being and health. Our coach will monitor intensity levels to keep them low while still working to help maintain bone density, improve balance, boost energy levels, elevate cognitive functioning, and alleviate discomforts. Off-Season Performance Training is designed to build the foundation athletes need outside of competition. This program focuses on strength, speed, movement quality, and injury resilience to prepare athletes for their next season. It’s an opportunity to develop physically, move better, and come back stronger, faster, and more confident.

This PISE-led program is designed specifically for individuals with mobility limitations who are looking to improve their strength, mobility, and overall functionality.
Held in PISE’s fully accessible Fitness Centre, the class focuses on enhancing mobility, stability, and functional movement patterns tailored to your sport or personal fitness goals.
To ensure a safe and personalized experience, all participants must complete four one-on-one sessions with a PISE personal trainer before joining the group class.
These sessions will help develop a customized training plan that supports your unique needs and sets you up for success in the program.

Please register for this FREE program thanks to funding from the Canadian Paralympic Committee. This program is for children in manual chairs, walkers, strollers, and power mobility chairs!

This class is an advanced option for those who have taken Intro to Strength Training or have previous experience in the gym. Our certified Strength and Conditioning coaches will dive into a variety of exercises for those ready for a challenge!

This program is open to children with any form of developmental disability (cognitive or physical) or illness. The program is designed to improve confidence and competence in movement skills and provide a safe place to play with peers. PISE leaders adapt activities to make sure that all children find success and have their individual needs met.
This program develops fundamental movement skills like running, wheeling, throwing, catching and balance. Additionally, it builds on skills developed in early childhood to more complex movement patterns and sport skills.
Siblings are welcome to enroll in the program too!

Fusion fitness is a mind-body class that provides the best of both worlds by integrating movements from Pilates and Yoga! Enhance your body awareness, posture, balance, flexibility, leg and arm strength and core stability using the best piece of fitness equipment available today… your body! Prior experience is not required.

Female Youth Fitness is a transformative 90-minute weekly program designed for female youth to build physical strength, confidence, and community. Each week features a 45-minute workout led by PISE Physical Literacy Leaders, followed by a rotating 45-minute empowerment session covering topics such goal setting, team-building activities, and more. This program is the perfect space for young women to grow stronger - physically, mentally, and socially.
