ACL Injury Reduction Training for Girls

This is a 6-week introduction program for female youth athletes (12-18yrs) to learn about and participate in injury reduction training. Athletes will participate in a 1.25 hour long training session and will be sent home with a home program.

  • Education will include: general knee anatomy, understanding the ACL and its function, ACL injury statistics and causes.
  • Practical program will focus on proper warm-up techniques, strength training, jumping and landing mechanics, and running agility.
Coached by: Kiersten McLeod and Melissa Pankratz, two of our S&C Coaches with Athletic Therapy education, who have both had personal experience with ACL injury/reconstruction and are passionate about prevention.

Youth Performance Camp – Coming soon!

Are you looking for the expertise and facilities to help you take your game to the next level? PISE Strength and Conditioning Coaches will put you through your paces each morning, focusing on building strength, speed and conditioning. Participants will also work with a sport psychologist, a yoga instructor and a registered dietitian as we explore a holistic approach to sport, health and wellness. Facility access includes the Fitness Centre, Movement Studio, 400m track, outdoor training zone, newly renovated gymnasium and full turf field. We’ll be sure to save time in the afternoon for some fun, too!
