Kids on Wheels Junior Balance Bike Camp (Ages 2-3)
This week-long camp is designed to introduce young children to the joy of cycling! In this camp we’ll mainly focus on getting the children comfortable on balance bikes and wearing helmets, provide tips to parents on how to fit a balance bike to their children and practice important skills such as stopping, riding, balancing, and gliding. We’ll also read some biking books and sing songs. Balance bikes help children to gain confidence, and improve their self esteem and risk management. This camp is designed for beginner and intermediate riders and parent/caregiver participation is encouraged. If possible please bring your child wearing a helmet already and children are invited to bring their own balance bikes. If needed we can provide a bike and a helmet for the duration of the camp.
