Functional TRX

The TRX® Suspension Trainer is a workout system that uses body weight and gravity to allow you to perform hundreds of exercises. This interval style class will combine the use of the TRX® with other strength training and cardiovascular exercises. Whether training for elite performance or for general fitness, the TRX® Bootcamp class will help you increase your aerobic and anaerobic fitness while simultaneously developing strength, balance, flexibility and core stability.

PISE Q&A Program

PISE’s Q&A (Queer and Allies) program is an (17+) introductory session based on bringing together the 2SLGBTQIA+ community within health & fitness. It will consist of a tour of our facility and programs offered, discussion around body and gender dysmorphia, discomfort in gym spaces, as well as health benefits of physical activity. A PISE Coach will lead a lesson in strength and conditioning and basic usage of equipment in the gym. Sensory friendly strategies will also be in place at this time. Participants will be given a program to follow in the gym, which can also be performed at home. After participating in the program, participants will receive a discounted drop in price for the following month.

Women on Weights Annual

Join other like-minded women looking for a non- competitive, friendly fitness experience focused on developing strength and general fitness in a supportive, small group setting. Work towards your personal goals and share your success as you progress through your program! Become comfortable in a weight room environment as your Strength and Conditioning Coach leads you through a variety of strength and cardio protocols tailored to your experience level.

Moving forward programs will be primarily inside, although a coach may still utilize outdoor space (weather permitting), we will continue to ensure measures are in place for the safety of our clients and staff.

Kids on Wheels Junior Balance Bike Camp (Ages 2-3)

This week-long camp is designed to introduce young children to the joy of cycling! In this camp we’ll mainly focus on getting the children comfortable on balance bikes and wearing helmets, provide tips to parents on how to fit a balance bike to their children and practice important skills such as stopping, riding, balancing, and gliding. We’ll also read some biking books and sing songs. Balance bikes help children to gain confidence, and improve their self esteem and risk management. This camp is designed for beginner and intermediate riders and parent/caregiver participation is encouraged. If possible please bring your child wearing a helmet already and children are invited to bring their own balance bikes. If needed we can provide a bike and a helmet for the duration of the camp.

Youth S&C: High Performance (Ages 12-18)

This high level program will focus on performance elements, with a higher training intensity than the Youth S+C Foundations program. Open to youth 12-18 years old, the program is coached by PISE Strength and Conditioning Coaches, utilizing our various performance training spaces. This program is well suited for athletes looking to take their training to the next level with more advanced movements and training plans.

Youth Leadership at PISE (Ages 14-17)

In PISE’s Youth Leadership camp, teens will have an opportunity to learn leadership, communication, and role modelling skills. Youth will learn from the PISE Physical Literacy Team about fundamental movement skills, observation and analysis. Through practical experience, youth will gain knowledge about the principles of physical literacy, how to lead a group and encourage kids to be active for life! Each youth will participate in at least one week volunteer placement in one of our kids’ summer camps! They will learn firsthand what it’s like to be a summer camp leader at PISE.
