Mark your calendars and lace up your sneakers, the Family Sport & Recreation Festival Presented by TD Bank, is back on Saturday, May 3rd from 11am to 3pm at PISE – and once again this festival is completely free (and that includes parking too!)
This festival focuses on getting kids moving their bodies, connection between families, and celebrating physical literacy in our community while having fun. With over 30 activities on deck (think bouncy castles, obstacle courses, karate, tennis, soccer, and adapted sports) there’s something to enjoy for every little athlete.
“We are thrilled to once again host our signature event, the Family Sport & Recreation Festival, presented by TD Bank. On the fi rst Saturday in May, we welcome more than 2,000 people to enjoy a fun-fi lled day exploring a wide variety of sports, games, and recreational activities that promote a healthy and active lifestyle. From team sports to individual activities, and everything in between, we continue to build an inclusive event that off ers a memorable festival experience for the entire family,” says CEO Robert Bettauer.
Don’t miss the mascot showdown at 1:30pm, where Klee Wyck, Marty from Victoria Royals, Stewie the Starfish from Pacific FC, and Rocky from the Victoria Shamrocks go head to head in a tug-of-war battle! We’re also celebrating with Peninsula Co-Op, who has sponsored the track at PISE for 10 years, for a Track Naming Ceremony that will kick off with a community fun run at 11:15am.
If you’re feeling lucky, enter the online raffle for a chance to win TWO prize pack trips to Vancouver, or grab a ticket for the 50/50 draw that’s already sitting at over $2000.00. Best of all, it’s for a great cause! Proceeds support the Play Your Way Grant, which helps youth access PISE programs and camps – because every child deserves a chance to play.
So come out to 4371 Interurban Rd to get active and be part of something special. Let’s play our way to a healthier, happier community!
