PISE is thrilled to announce the return of the Family Sport and Recreation Festival, presented by TD Bank, which will take place at PISE on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 11 am to 3 pm. Located at 4371 Interurban Rd, this event will be a day filled with fun activities and opportunities for the whole family!
The main objective of this festival is to encourage families to lead more active lifestyles while promoting physical literacy development in children of all ages by engaging them in a variety of recreational and sport-based activities. Kids are given an excellent chance to explore new clubs, community groups, and a variety of movement based activities while parents have an opportunity to gain valuable advice on how to keep their children engaged in healthy activities on a regular basis. Some of the featured activities include favourites like sports, para-sports, obstacle courses, and much more!
Plus, PISE will be selling raffle tickets with four different amazing prize packs up for grabs! With a variety of prizes to local Victoria businesses, the proceeds will support the Play Your Way Grant. Play Your Way provides a funding opportunity for children and youth
(under 19 years of age) who are in need of full or partial funding to participate in PISE Community Programs or Summer Camps located at PISE and within the Southern Vancouver Island region. This grant has assisted over 1000 families participate in summer
camps, learn physical literacy, and create fond memories since it began in 2010.
The best part? This event is FREE for the community.
