Led by our experienced coaches and national and Olympic athletes, these camps provide kids with a unique opportunity to learn from and get inspired by the best!

Camosun Chargers Womens Basketball Camp (ages 14-18)

Camosun Head Coach Justin Thiessen will coach players on individual competencies, team offense and team defense tactics, advanced strategies and play making skills. Players will have opportunities to improve their skills in realistic game scenarios using 2 on 2 and 3 on 3 play and working 1:1 with current Chargers players. Coaches will run players through a different skill each day to give plenty of time for participants to develop their abilities. Skills may include: ball handling, shooting, defense and rebounding, passing as well as strength and conditioning!

Players who are preparing for senior high school and post-secondary play will have an opportunity to work in a small group for 2 hours each day to do elite level training.

This camp is a great way to kick off your pre-season and prepare for a successful season!

*This camp is best suited for players with at least one year experience in organized basketball.

Coaches and players will be taking precautions when delivering camp to ensure the safety of campers and fellow staff. This includes sanitizing equipment before and after use, sanitizing/washing hands during passing drills, using re-bounders and the environment if necessary, and utilizing technology and video analysis.

Eli Pasquale Champions Academy Basketball (ages 9-13 & 14-16)

Get ready for the basketball season with our complete basketball training program! Skill development includes: Eli Pasquale Shooting and Guard Series plus the Miracle Circuit. Receive specific instruction on improving footwork, shooting technique, ball handling, passing, rebounding and offensive and defensive individual and team concepts designed by Eli Pasquale (Two Time Olympian, Five Time National Champion).

PISE presents the 10th annual Camosun Chargers Jr. Girls Volleyball Camp. Led by the Camosun Coaching staff, Chargers athletes and the PISE Strength & Conditioning Coaches, this camp will consist of skill work, position specific training, physical training and game play. This camp is your chance to meet, connect and work directly with the 2020 edition of the Camosun Chargers Women’s Volleyball team.

Camosun Chargers High Performance Girls Volleyball (ages 16-18)

The High Performance Girls’ Volleyball Camp is an opportunity to train with the Camosun Chargers Women’s Volleyball Team as you prepare for the high school season. This camp is designed to improve the individual skills, team play, physical and mental preparation of the experienced volleyball athlete. Athletes will train alongside the Chargers team under the direction of the Camosun Coaching Staff in an up-tempo and accelerated learning environment. This camp is designed for athletes who have played at the club level; 2020 club season participation is required unless special permission is granted by the coaching staff.  Special consideration will be given to athletes in Grade 10 who have participated in a high performance equivalent, but not limited to, Team BC.

Carmanah Giants – Volleyball skills for tall people

You can’t teach height… So this camp is aimed at teaching the skills and tactics of volleyball to girls who already have the height thing covered. The goal is to help you take your game to the next level: Make it onto your high school team, get onto the A team with your club, or get noticed by a high-performance program. If you match the profile of a great volleyball athlete but need some extra opportunity to learn and develop, this camp is for you!

Minimum height: 5’11” (180 cm) or minimum standing reach of 7’6″ (229 cm)

Volleyball-specific training and game-play are complemented by PISE’s physical literacy experts who will work with you to enhance coordination, biomechanics, quickness, and jump height. Players of all skill levels are welcome.

Carmanah Giants is run by the head coach of the Camosun College women’s volleyball team, Brent Hall, and some of the tallest Chargers he can find to help out.

About the name: The Carmanah Giant is the name given to Canada’s tallest tree; a Stika Spruce growing at nearly 100 meters tall in the Carmanah Walbran forest here on Vancouver Island.
